Michael J. LaFleur is a founding partner at Alex and LaFleur, where he focuses his practice on Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, Wills and Estate law, as well as Litigation, Arbitration, and Mediation. He has extensive experience representing clients in Circuit Court, District Court, and administrative hearings across Central and Western Maryland, as well as the Eastern Shore.
After being admitted to the Maryland Bar in 2007, Mr. LaFleur began his legal career as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Harford County. He has since gained valuable experience working in both private practice and government positions, before founding Alex and LaFleur with his longtime colleague, Justin S. Alex.
A Lifelong Terp and proud alum of the University of Maryland, College Park, Mr. LaFleur earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. He went on to complete his legal education at the University of Maryland School of Law in Baltimore. Outside of his professional endeavors, he is an enthusiastic supporter of the University of Maryland’s athletics, regularly attending Terps football and basketball games, and is also a devoted Baltimore Orioles fan.
